Day 2-3

Tuesday was an exciting day! I couldn't wait to get home from our program and spend time with her. My son, Aydan, was especially excited! He's the one who got us all to fall in love with this breed.

A little side note - I would never have thought that we would have an English Bulldog. It was my son's love for the them that made the rest of us fall in love with this breed. We started looking up the breed and educating ourselves on them making sure they would be a good fit for our home. We applied at the Florida English Bulldog Rescue at the beginning of the year and got approved. The only thing was that they're in Tampa and we never get down that way. I've never even been to Tampa! FEBR they are a wonderful rescue and you can read and know more about them by clicking on their name above. Out of all the bullies that were rescued, only 4 remained. FEBR took the "Fab 4" as they call them, and are currently taking care of their health issues and then will find them foster homes and eventually find them forever homes!

On Wednesday morning I started noticing that Scuttle's eye looked like she had cherry eye. I called my vet, who owns bullies, and made an appointment. It did in fact look like she did have it and he gave me some antibiotics for her. It also looked as if she had a little bump right by her bottom eyelid. Other than that, he said that she looked great, sounded great and was in overall great health! What a relief!

Spending the day with her was exciting! My first full day at home! We mainly tried to get her acclimated to the house but she seemed to really like the area rug...so much so that she rarely will get off of it...or sit down and relax. She is constantly pacing, walking around looking, smelling, and freaking out every time something startles her. Finally around noon she lays down and rests. Finally! She had been up since 6:15 am and hadn't rested since then. She only rested a short time, maybe 30 minutes, but it was sweet! Tomorrow we need to work on getting her used to the house!
